Geared for adult students of all levels—from beginning to advanced—the Materials & Techniques Workshops are facilitated by master artists/educators concentrating on a select area of their expertise. Students will work in a small group to explore distinct concepts, media and methods, and within the individual workshop will make a formal small-scale piece of art based on preliminary experiences/sketches, under the guidance of the instructor.

Geared for serious practicing artists, the Visiting Artist Lecture + Critique Workshops are facilitated by Director, Shannon Rae Fincke in conjunction with a different guest artist at each workshop. The visiting artist leads the session with a slide-show artist talk about their work, studio practice, background and career, followed by a class Q&A. The second part of the workshop will be based on each of the participating artists in the class taking turns presenting physical examples of their work and/or professional practice materials (such as statements, social media, web sites, proposals, etc) to the group for feedback from the visiting artist, director, and peers.
